Eligibility rules apply to the following benefits. An application is also required.

GKAR Awards Emeritus

The GKAR Emeritus Benefit was established in 2020. The benefit is intended to honor REALTORS® who have been a Member of GKAR for a cumulative total of 40 years.

  • Members must apply for the benefit on or before August 10thin the year they would achieve 40 years of Membership, for local dues to be waived for the following year.
  • Once a Member reaches that milestone, GKAR shall waive local dues for subsequent years for those Members.
  • Upon approval, the Member will be issued a letter, certificate, and a 40-year lapel pin to be presented at the annual Installation and State of the Association Program.
  • If you would prefer these items are mailed to you and not presented at the annual Installation and State of the Association Program, please indicate so in your application.

GKAR Awards Quarter Century

The GKAR Quarter Century Benefit was established in January 2026. The benefit is intended to honor REALTORS® who have met the following qualifications:

  • Maintained GKAR Membership for a cumulative period of 25 years, and
  • Served on a GKAR Committee for a minimum of one (1) year.

Members who meet both qualifications must apply for the benefit on or before August 10th in the year they become eligible. Upon approval, local dues shall be waived for the following year and subsequent years.

REALTOR® Emeritus is an honorary status recognizing long-term dedication and service to the National Association of REALTORS®. Eligible members whose applications are approved receive a permanent dues waiver of the NAR portion of your board dues and are exempt from the Code of Ethics and Fair Housing training requirement.
