ABR® Designation course description

The goal of the two-day ABR® Designation Course is to establish a foundation of training, skills, and resources to help real estate professionals succeed as a buyer’s representative. Learn to: 

• Build a buyer- representation business
• Value the services you perform on behalf of buyer-clients
• Increase confidence to work toward a signed buyer representation agreement if written buyer representation agreements are customary in your market
• Gain methods, tools, and techniques to provide the support and services that buyers want
• This also qualifies for 2019's 2-hour Legal Update and 12 hours of General Continuing Education credit and CE Marketplace Certified

Education

• Complete the Two-Day Course LIVE at GKAR
  • Complete the ABR^® Designation Course. 
  • Download Course Description (PDF)
  • Register for ABR® at GKAR
• Complete an ABR® Elective Course 
  • View available Courses
  • The e-PRO^® Certification Course does qualify as an ABR® Elective. 

Work Experience

• Documentation of five completed transactions in which you acted solely as a buyer representative.

Professional Affiliation

• Member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
• Member in good standing of REBAC.

Exam

• Pass the ABR® Designation Course exam with an 80% or better score. 

Application

• Submit the Designation application along with documentation of five completed transactions.

Cost

• Cost of ABR Designation Course (live via GKAR $390/Members | $430/non-Members)
• Cost of ABR Elective Course
• REBAC Dues
  • First year of REBAC Membership is free
  • Second year is $110, and prorated based on the month you join REBAC
  • $110 per year thereafter
