Another Michigan Association will be joining MichRIC® in the third quarter of 2021!

Portage Public Schools (PPS) do not participate with Schools of Choice within the district or within the county. Students do have an opportunity to apply for a transfer programs, detailed here.

After careful consideration of the data, the MREA Advisory Board recommended the GKAR Board of Directors discontinue offering the Pre-Licensing Course. In part, this decision was to allow further consideration to provide additional opportunities for education to its existing GKAR Members. The MREA Advisory Board will continue their review of the other MREA offerings and seek ways to enhance those offerings.

In 2021, the MREA Advisory Board was established. Their first order of business was to seek input from Membership. In February, two surveys were sent; one to REALTOR^® Members and one to Brokers/Managers. The surveys were open for two weeks and together, received over 150 responses.

The GKAR Board of Directors outlined five task force groups to help realize the 2021 GKAR Strategic Plan. 

Staying up-to-date on local market trends gives REALTORS^® an edge when determining the value of a home. Whether acting as a buyer's or seller's agent, having concrete data to support the decision-making process is key- from setting a price to negotiating a sale.

You may have seen the announcements last year, SentriLock will only support the smartphone app, SentriKey, as of January 1^st, 2022. That will mean the use of SentriCards^® will be discontinued by the end of the year.

As of April 1^st, 2021, SentriLock, will no longer be able to create new SentriCards^®. This will result in GKAR no longer being able to reissue replacement SentriCards for damaged or lost cards.

MichRIC® and Realcomp have entered into an agreement with reciprocal access. To search the Realcomp MLS you can select “Realcomp” in the “MLS of” search field, when conducting a Quick Search. Your search results will then include only listings from Realcomp.

MichRIC® also has data share agreements with The Water Wonderland Board of REALTORS®, MiRealSource, and The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS®. This data can also be accessed directly through Flexmls, giving MichRIC® agents access to over 30,000 listings.
