Access Map
How do I find area listings, to which Members have access?
GKAR is part of the Michigan Regional Information Center (MichRIC®). MichRIC covers 14 associations in Michigan, all sharing the database. MichRIC® also creates agreements with outside associations to allow its members viewing outside of our shared system. You may view the MLS Access and Data-Sharing map that outlines what areas share an MLS system and associations that hold agreements with MichRIC®. Go to: https://mlshelp.com/datashare-partners or https://www.GKAR.com/about
Listing Data Agreement
I have a personal or company Website. How can I share listing data on my Website?
A MichRIC® Data License Agreement must be completed and signed by your broker, Website developer, and yourself indicating that all parties agree to follow the MichRIC® data sharing rules. This agreement is available on e-Forms, dotloop and zipForms, and the MichRIC® Website, at https://mlshelp.com/idx-info.

Peak Performance Articles
Where do I find answers to "I don't know" questions?
Learning to say, “I don’t know,” is often the most honest and the safest practice. Your Risk Management Committee authored a series of articles to help answer your “I don’t know” questions. Use these resources to become an expert on many aspects of the transaction.
You'll find the Peak Performance Articles at http://www.Flexmls.com, in the MLS Intranet menu.
Showing Etiquette
What basic instructions should I follow when accessing the key box on a listing?
For your safety and the safety of others, make sure you're following the showing instructions on the listing, before accessing the key box. Permission to access a property is required according to GKAR MLS Rules and Regulations. Do not access a property without permission from the listing agent. Always be courteous.
- Leave your business card when showing a property.
- Never allow a buyer to enter a property unaccompanied.
- Double check all exterior doors to ensure locks are engaged before leaving the property.
- When showing an occupied home, always ring the doorbell or knock and announce yourself loudly before entering. Knock before opening any closed interior door.
- When the occupant is absent, leave the property as you found it (turn on/off lights, fans, air conditioner or heat; open/close drapes and blinds).
- Return the key to the Lockbox!
- If the listing agent has been kind enough to leave notes or instructions in the home, read them and follow the instructions to the best of your ability.
- Don’t ignore agents who ask for feedback on showings, unless the buyer has requested no feedback be given. Even if the response is a short one, don’t leave them hanging. They have a client waiting to hear from them as well.
- Familiarize yourself with SentriLock and the SentriKey app. This will allow you to access properties quickly and easily with SentriLock lockboxes. You'll find SentriLock FAQs and other resources at https://www.GKAR.com/lockboxes.
