Kalamazoo, Michigan - June 17, 2009: The Greater Kalamazoo Association of REALTORS® (GKAR) announced today their involvement in a multiple session opportunity for real estate professionals to learn about the latest strategies and tactics being employed by brokerage firms, both large and small, that wish to increase their market shares and lead their markets in 2010 and 2011.

The 2009 Broker Summer Series, presented by GKAR and the Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS® (GRAR), will provide three impactful sessions on how successful brokerages, focusing on profitablilty, consumer centricity, automation, and accountability can succeed in today's economy. The Series will feature Jeremy Conaway of RECON Intelligence Services, who is a nationally recognized author, speaker and strategic architect. Mr. Conaway and RECON work with hundreds of brokerages across North American and expect to deliver a program which demonstrates how to capture the opportunities of the new market.

The Series will take place from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on Thursday June 25th, Thursday July 23rd and Thursday August 13th in the Auditorium of GRAR (660 Kenmoor Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). Session 1 is titled "Exploring the New Market Environment" and will examine the new consumer and their expectations, the evolved real estate economy, affordable new inventory, the remaining down market legacy, and amazing new
opportunities in Southwest Michigan. Session 2 is titled "Reengineering your Brokerage to Navigate the New Market Waters" and will explore creating a perfect business plan, implementation strategies, and examples of how firms across the country are successfully using new market based tactics. Session 3 is titled "Listening to your New Customer and Delivering your New Message" and will provide answers to what customers are saying, what your new message should be, how to create the perfect marketing balance, where to focus your online presence, and ways your website must be a navigational beacon to home buyers and home sellers.

The Broker Summer Series is normally $395 per person, but because GKAR and GRAR have teamed up to co-sponsor this event, area association members, brokers, and their guests are able to take advantage of the program for the reduced cost of $195 per person. More information on the Series can be found at the GKAR website, gkar.com, or by calling the Association office at 269.382.1597.
