August Average Home Sale Prices Show Increase

Michigan home sale prices rose 9.94% over 2009 figures as the statewide average sale price of a home in Michigan last month moved near $113,000. August home sales are also up 9.7% from July 2010 reports, showing continued improvement.
Though total YTD home sales are down by 4.4% from 2009, the Antrim Charlevoix Kalkaska, Central Michigan, Saginaw and Water Wonderland Associations all reported significant increases in average home sales, with many also reporting increases in overall home sales for the previous month of July.
