Parade of Homes Award Winners Announced
KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN- The Home Builders Association of Greater Kalamazoo (HBAGK) is pleased to announce the Parade of Homes Awards of Excellence winners. These homes have been given special recognition in one or more of the following categories: Interior Elements & Design Features, Best Kitchen, Curb Appeal & Landscaping Elements, Universal Design, Smart House, and Green Building.

"The quality of the Parade Homes this year is phenomenal", says Bruce Frost, Central Michigan University Professor and Awards of Excellence Judge. "From their use of energy efficient products, to taking into account the aging population by building to Universal Design standards, the builders really outdid themselves."

This is the last weekend for the Parade and it will be open on Friday from 4-9pm and Saturday from 1-9pm. Admission is $12.00 per ticket and children 3 and under will be admitted free. Tickets can also be purchased in advance for $10 at the following locations: Meijer; Harding's on West Main, Centre, and S. Westnedge; Kalamazoo Gazette; all Consumers Credit Union locations; and any Millennium Restaurant Group location.

"The list of Award winners can be found on our website,", says Dale Shugars, Executive Vice President of the HBAGK. "Visiting homes that have won awards is a great way to narrow down which homes to visit if you are running short on time."
Please note that Home #2, located at 201 Gull Lake Island, and Home #17, located at 10614 Bear Lake Trail, will no longer be shown in the 2009 Parade of Homes. If you would like more information about this, please contact the HBAGK at 269-375-4225.
